Rachel & Julia’s fundraiser for GivingWorks - Women v Cancer - Cycle Vietnam to Cambodia

Cycle Vietnam to Cambodia · 28 November 2024 to 9 December 2024 ·
Hello, Julia and a Rachel here.
We met back in 1983 at the tender age of 13 at school in Scarborough, sunny North Yorkshire. 42 years later we are still firm friends having much fun fun and adventures along the way and here we are heading off on a bike ride,
So whose idea was this, Julia?……….450km cycling in crazy heat through Vietnam and Cambodia.
Starting on 28th November, meandering along the Mekong Delta from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
So, here we go, 5 days of cycling sounds romantic through banana plantations, along river banks, observing merchants at work at the floating markets, passing friendly villages and orchards.
No mention of sore bottoms, how do we get the braces off to ‘wee’, chaffing in areas we are yet to discover, sweating, bug bites and aching limbs but heh this is all for 3 amazing charities:
The money you raise funds the vital work of our three Women V Cancer charities who are raising awareness, providing support and funding research into breast, ovarian and cervical cancers.
