At a recent first aid course I learned that early defibrillation can increase survival rates from cardiac arrest by up to about 70%. The nearest defibrillator to our busy and much-loved community garden is over 300m away. Time to fundraise to get one! It will be located inside a building, accessible to garden users during sessions, as well as the Victoria Park Centre and The Food Foundation.

I took part in the Glentress 5k this month, next up is the Bowhill Weekender 10k in August, and so on until the funds have been raised.
