Story
On 20 March, I’ll be joining Spitalfields Crypt Trust’s (SCT) team for the London Walk to raise awareness and vital funds to tackle homelessness.
I had hoped to complete the full 26 miles, but due to injury I’ll be staggering through the 10K instead — and I’m determined to cross that finish line!
I’ve had a long association with SCT and have seen first-hand the life-changing work they do. They are a fantastic charity receiving no government funding, and they rely heavily on donations to continue supporting some of London’s most vulnerable people.
Last year, 13,231 people were seen sleeping rough in London, and 68% were struggling with unmet drug, alcohol or mental health needs. The need for organisations like SCT has never been greater.
By supporting the London Walk, you’ll help SCT provide:
– A six-month residential addiction recovery programme
– Move-on housing to help people rebuild their lives
– Training and development opportunities to build skills and confidence
– Housing First support for extremely vulnerable adults
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a genuine difference.
I would be incredibly grateful for any support you’re able to give. Thank you so much.
