This year I have challenged myself to take on two big events to help raise money for people living with but also those that have been affected by cancer.

In July 2025 I am taking on the Jurassic Coast Mighty Hike with a group of friends in support of our lovely friend Pippa and then in September 2025 I am taking on the Great North Run in memory of some of my dear friends and family.

Some of you may or may not know my mam was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and together with the support of charities like macmillan she is still here today. This year marks 10 years since that diagnosis which is my drive to do what I can to support those families in need.

I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £650 pledge in support of both events (£250 for the hike and £400 for the GNR to secure my places). To put it into perspective, £250 can pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support.

1 in 2 people are affected by cancer with currently 3 million people living with it in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
