Rachel's fundraiser for Vale SLSC

Rachel Reynolds is raising money for Vale SLSC

Bake sale · 16 October 2025

With over 150 active members, ranging from ages 7 to 60+, we run weekly fitness and training sessions to develop future lifesavers. Our goal is to prepare members to become qualified lifeguards, many of whom voluntarily patrol Jackson’s Bay beach during the summer months or work for the RNLI.

Story

Hi everyone!

I’m raising funds for Vale Surf Lifesaving Club — a brilliant registered charity that teaches lifesaving skills to children and adults aged 7 and up.

Many of you know my daughter Kaiya has been part of the club since she was just 7. Over the years, she’s learned vital skills like CPR, first aid, and drowning prevention, and this summer, she was part of a real-life rescue at Jackson’s Bay in Barry — a moment that was even featured on ITV News! Watching these young lifeguards step up while others panicked was incredibly moving. I couldn’t be prouder.

The club runs a voluntary lifeguard service during the summer and relies on donations to keep going. Most of their equipment was bought second-hand when they started in 2017, and it’s now in urgent need of replacement.

👉 Please donate, share, and get involved — thank you so much for your support!
