Story
This April, I’ll be walking 100km alongside my 6-year-old cockapoo Alfie (and sometimes my partner Andy), in loving memory of my beautiful niece Cosima, who we sadly lost in January.
We’re taking on this challenge to support Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and their Stroll into Spring campaign—an organisation that have provided, and continue to provide, incredible care and support to our family during a difficult time.
If you’re able to support, share, or cheer us on, it would mean so much 💜
For over two decades, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices has been supporting babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. They support families from diagnosis, to end of life and throughout bereavement, with a range of nursing, practical, emotional, and medical care. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months, or years, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices will be there to make every moment count for families facing the unimaginable.
Each year it's costs £12 million to run Shooting Star, and only 29% of funding comes from the government so we heavily rely on supporters like you to keep us open. Thank you for all your support.
