Story
This April I'm lacing up for the London Landmarks Half Marathon - my first ever half-marathon attempt! 🏃♀️ Since March is Brain Tumour Awareness Month, I thought what better way to celebrate this personal challenge than by raising money for an amazing cause?
The Not-So-Fun Facts
Brain tumours don't discriminate - they affect kids, adults, everyone. They're actually more deadly than many better-known cancers:
Killing more children than leukaemia
More men under 70 than prostate cancer
More women under 35 than breast cancer
Yet (and this is crazy) brain tumour research gets just 1.37% of national cancer funding. Talk about unfair!
Why This Matters To Me
This hits close to home. We lost my lovely mother-in-law June to a brain tumour last year. My friend Greg's family has been on this rollercoaster for 6 years - his daughter Evanne was diagnosed as a teenager and is now a young ambassador for the charity. Greg's helped me professionally a lot over the years, and I'd love to show some support right back.
Spare Change = Big Change!
Got some coins hiding in your sofa? Or maybe a few quid you might have spent on that coffee? Every little bit helps! You don't need to break the bank - all those small donations add up to make a massive difference.
With less than 4 weeks to go, help me cross both the finish line AND a fundraising goal that matters!
Thanks a million! ❤️
