Story
I'm running my first ever half marathon fundraising money for Science Creates Outreach, an educational STEM charity that delivers amazing interactive workshops to local young people across Bristol.
It's a big reason why I wanted to work for Science Creates, and getting to regularly see first-hand the impact that these extremely exciting yet curriculum-linked workshops have on the kids that come in is so warming and motivating to see. Plus, it's actively strengthening young people's interest in pursuing an array of STEM careers, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, helping to diversify and empower the next generation of innovators who will soon be the ones solving global challenges for people and the planet.
Please do give what you can — as a small charity, it will mean an awful lot and go extremely far in bringing more and more kids into The Learning Lab.

More about the charity
Science Creates Outreach is a charity dedicated to shaping the scientists and innovators of tomorrow. Its mission is to empower and diversify future STEM leaders & innovators who will help tackle global challenges from climate change to healthcare.
Through hands-on workshops, tours of research lab spaces and Q&As with real-word scientists, the charity ignites young people's spark for STEM and equips them with the skills, confidence and knowledge to pursue meaningful futures in science and innovation.
At the heart of its operations is The Learning Lab, a replica working laboratory and dedicated space for young people. Uniquely located within one of Science Creates' Deep Tech incubators in central Bristol, it is surrounded by over 30 startup companies that are actively working on groundbreaking scientific innovations to help people and the planet. This provides young people with a transformative opportunity to go beyond the classroom and witness the real-world applications of STEM in action happening right on their doorstep.
