Liver UK is the new name for British Liver Trust and Children's Liver Disease Foundation. We are the UK's leading liver charity, working across all four nations to save lives and improve liver health. We want to make liver health a national priority.

Story

I'm raising money for The British Liver Trust in memory of my grandad, who died from cirrhosis of the liver in September 2022.

He used to drop me to the start points of any training runs that I wanted to do back when I had just started running, so I would like to run this ultra marathon in memory of him.

The first 50km Ultra marathon race I did actually passed his gravestone, so I feel this distance commemorates him and would hope it makes him proud!

Liver disease affects thousands of people every year, and often cirrhosis is diagnosed at a late stage. By fundraising for The British Liver Trust, I support all the work they do, such as patient support, information, and funding research into liver disease across the UK.

Thank you for your time given to read this, and any support you are able to give.
