When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
About us...
Our lives were turned completely upside down last April, when my husband Adam who was only 38, suffered a stroke.
He then had a further TIA this year.
His strokes have had a massive impact on his life, and he continues to struggle to this day with strength problems and fatigue.
His stroke team have been fantastic throughout the last 16 months and have done everything they can to get to the cause of his strokes, with ongoing reviews.
I am so thankful for all they done for Adam, and continue to do, and by pushing myself to run/cycle 62 miles in October I hope I can raise vital funds for the Stroke Association to continue the work they do.
I very spontaneously signed up for the London Marathon, having only just started running in March 🤣, wishful thinking on my part! Whether good or bad for me, I didnt get a spot!!
But here's to moving outside my comfort zone and doing my bit.
Thanks for reading and your support.
