This August marks 10 years since my cousin Claire suddenly died from a cardiac arrest whilst out running. She was 27. She was ambitious, fun, engaged to be married and it hit the family hard.

To mark the anniversary I'll be walking the Offa's Dyke Path (basically the border of England/ Wales) to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young, a charity who offers support to bereaved families as well as funding vital research and screenings to ensure that other families don't have to go through what ours did.

I'll be doing this as part of a wider family effort to raise £10k to mark the 10 years since the loss of Claire. Most notably, my cousin Katie has been training hard for months to swim Coniston, Ullswater and Windermere lakes this Summer. Mental!
