Story
I am running the 2024 London Marathon on behalf of Children with Cancer UK.
I chose Children with Cancer UK to run for, as after losing my husband to cancer and seeing how he struggled through daily life and the hardship of dealing with the side effects of treatment, as difficult as it was for an adult and our family to go through, I can't imagine how much more so it is for a child and their family.
My husband, Terry, ran marathons for children's charities, so in honour of him and for what he did and for the children in the care of this charity, please help me to support them.
I know times are difficult, any amount, if you can, is greatly appreciated.
About the charity:
Our vision is a world where every child and young person survives cancer.
For 35 years, Children with Cancer UK has funded much needed research into the causes of childhood cancers, and the development of better, kinder treatments as well as funding initiatives that support children and their families through cancer treatment and beyond.
Our work has contributed significantly to a marked increase in childhood cancer survival rates and improved quality of life for patients.
