Lloyd's Abseil 2025 · 9 July 2025 to 10 July 2025 ·

Action for BPAN was created by two mothers who's daughters have been diagnosed with this rare Neuro-degenerative condition. As the UK's first charity for BPAN we want to fund the vital research for a cure or treatment and give a voice to this rare community of wonderful children and parents.

Story

As a last minute decision, I am abseiling the Lloyds of London building on the 9th July!! The Lloyds building stands at 289 feet tall and will be something to remember, although I thought my first official Lloyds visit would be inside, not scaling the outside! However, I am not doing this for fun, it's all in the name of raising money for a small but very important charity called Action for BPAN.

A close colleague and friend is directly affected by this as her daughter Scarlett was diagnosed 2 years ago with the condition.

BPAN can lead to seizures, developmental delays, and, over time, symptoms of Parkinson’s and dementia. At present there is no cure and no idea what the future holds. Fundraising for this charity will be helping get the much needed support and research at Great Ormond Street Hospital, so every little really does help!

Please consider sponsoring or supporting in anyway you feel you can so we can help give Scarlett and children like her hope for a cure in the future.
