Story
I am running the London Marathon 2026 for Bristol Children’s Hospital and for my cousin Kaya 💙
Kaya has needed the NHS every day of her life. She had life saving surgery at Bristol Children’s Hospital at just 2 days old and today at 16 she is facing chemotherapy with the same bravery she has always shown.
Her journey has been filled with challenges but Bristol Children’s Hospital has stood by her side with world class treatment, comfort and care that has kept her safe. Through it all Kaya continues to light up every room she enters.
The Grand Appeal, the charity for Bristol Children’s Hospital, makes this possible. They fund vital research, state of the art equipment, family accommodation and creative therapies that transform hospital stays into something less frightening for children like Kaya.
Running 26.2 miles will be hard but nothing compared to what Kaya has faced throughout the years. I am running for her and for every child who needs this hospital. Please support me if you can and help give more families the care and hope they deserve. 💙
I am proud to be running alongside Kaya’s mum Tania who is fundraising for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Kaya’s dad Brett who is running for Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity. Both of these incredible charities have also supported Kaya and her family on their journey.
