Story
In April 2027, I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise money for Rainham Foodbank, a charity that has become really important to me.
I’ve volunteered there as a counsellor for over a year alongside my training as a Counselling Psychologist. During that time, I’ve seen how much the charity offers to the local community. It is not only about food. It is also about having somewhere welcoming to go, being listened to, receiving emotional support and knowing that someone is there when life feels difficult.
Rainham Foodbank supports people from all different backgrounds and circumstances. The work they do helps people feel less alone and more connected to their community, which is why I’m so proud to be running for them.
Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing my training journey and organising different fundraising events leading up to the marathon.
❤️ Please donate if you can. Every amount will help support the work Rainham Foodbank continues to do.
📲 Please share this page. Even sharing it with one person can help it reach someone new.
🎉 Look out for fundraising events. I’ll be planning different ways for people to get involved and support the journey.
Thank you so much for supporting me and Rainham Foodbank. Running 26.2 miles will be a huge challenge, but doing it for a charity I know personally will make every mile worth it.
