I'm Running the London Marathon 2026 for Families Thriving Together!

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 · Start fundraising for this event
I've taken on the challenge of running the London Marathon 2026 to raise vital funds for an incredible small charity Families Thriving Together https://familiesthrivingtogether.org.uk/. This organisation provides free, accessible parenting support, ensuring that every parent—regardless of their background has the tools, guidance, and community they need to navigate the challenges of raising children.
Why This Matters
Parenting is one of the toughest and most rewarding journeys, but it can also feel overwhelming. Families Thriving Together brings parents together, reduces the stigma around seeking support, and offers practical, down-to-earth advice to help families thrive. They run fantastic programmes to support parents through all the different stages from newborns through to teenagers.
I discovered Families Thriving Together through accessing their Talking Teens programme. Like many parents, I thought the early years would be the hardest but nothing prepared me for the rollercoaster of parenting tweens and teens! Their support was invaluable, they provided a safe and welcoming space and gave me realistic, practical techniques to handle the challenges we faced. I want more families to have access to this support, especially those who might otherwise struggle to afford it.
Why I'm Running the Marathon
Running a marathon has been a long-time goal of mine. When I saw Families Thriving Together was offering a marathon place, I felt a genuine spark of excitement, this was the perfect opportunity to achieve my goal while supporting a cause I deeply believe in.
How You Can Help
I’m running 26.2 miles to make sure more parents can access the same invaluable support that helped me. Every donation, big or small, will help Families Thriving Together continue their amazing work ensuring that no parent feels alone on their journey.
