Story
Seven years after retiring from running, and because my life isn't already chaotic enough, I've managed to get myself signed up to two marathons this year...
First up is London!! I've been lucky enough to get a ballot place, so I have decided to try and raise some funds for an amazing local charity that has a very special place in my heart.
Arlo's Adventure was founded by Sarah and Damian Owen in memory of their son Arlo.
The charity supports Manx residents who require treatment in hospital in the United Kingdom, and their family members. They help meet the costs of transport and accommodation for such family members to visit them during their stay in hospital.
They also support bereaved families by raising awareness of the effects of the loss of a child or a pregnancy, focusing on supporting the siblings of the lost child and providing practical and emotional support to the families.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference. It will also give me the motivation to keep going with the relentless training, which feels so much harder this time around..
Donations of pain killers, blister plasters and Prosecco will also be very much appreciated!
Thank you so much for your support.
