Story
On May 22nd, I lost my best friend, my soul sister. Someone whose strength, kindness, and courage shaped every life she touched. She battled Type 1 Diabetes from a young age, facing every challenge with a smile, never letting it define her spirit. Even through the hardest days, she inspired me and so many others with her resilience and grace! She was the purest soul I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and having as a best friend.
This year, I’m running in her memory , not just to remember her, but to carry forward her fight. I’m running my first ever race for us, me & rachy! Another bucket list item to tick. This fundraiser is dedicated to raising awareness and support for those living with Type 1 Diabetes, and to fund research that will one day lead to better treatments, better support, better outcomes, and ultimately, a cure!
Every step I take is for her. Please bear in mind that I have never ran a running race before.. this invigoration for a last minute spot came up the morning I was set to leave for Snowdon in memory for/with Rach. I am going to struggle & I am probably going to be sick. Lol! SOS!
Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward helping others live the life she deserved, full of possibility, free from pain!
If you knew her, you knew her heart. If you didn’t, I hope this run and this mission helps you understand the kind of person she was: strong, compassionate, and unforgettable.
Please consider donating in her memory. Let’s run this race together; for her, for her unborn babies, for friends, for others, for hope and most importantly for love.
(SOMEONE HELP ME, what have I done 😂)
