Did you know, that only ~29% of Autistic people in the UK are in employment? Given how society's understanding on Neurodiversity has evolved in the past 25 years, we were quite surprised by this stat as that means our Founder, Monty, is an anomaly in the Business world!!!
We are at our highest rate of Neurodivergent people leaving education fully qualified/progressing to further education/University - so what's happening afterwards? Well, the challenges Neurodivergent people faced during education are very likely to be the same ones they are exposed to again when entering the working environment - only now, that crucial support network (which allowed them to thrive during education) may not exist in the workplace.... Perhaps this stat is not surprising stat after all.
That's why we're inviting you to join us in "Racing Awareness For" the National Autistic Society by taking part in a 90 Minute Relay Karting Race to support the charity and raise funds for the services it provides. Which, not only offers support for Autistic People/People directly associated with Autism, but will educate (for example) Business Organisations, Educational Facilities and Neurotypical people so they can better understand the condition and identify how they too can support Neurodiversity.
Monty was lucky to have found a support circle which brought the best out of him to enjoy the career he has today - but further inclusion will not only see more Autistic people find employment, but increase the likelihood of them staying in a job for longer thanks to the supportive environment created by it, which gives them the chance to unlock the skillset they demonstrated in education, extract their true potential and watch their careers flourish!
