Story

We have arranged a dog show and fun day at Yaxham Village Hall on Sunday 5th April. The money from this fundraiser will go towards the costs of a Low Dose X-ray Imaging System - EOS EDGE.

The EOS Edge takes scoliosis and leg length imaging and it will help improve the lives of patients with scoliosis and other spinal/leg deformities. It can also be used to image other parts of the body so will have a much wider impact than just the spine.

It will mean that patients who require regular repeat scanning, especially from childhood, will receive lower doses of radiation across their lifetime, reducing the possibility of long-term harm from radiation exposure, while providing improved diagnostic accuracy that will enhance surgical planning.

The cost of the system is in the region of £800k, and every penny that you are able to donate will help towards that total. All takings from the event will go towards the equipment costs.

Please see the link below for more information on the equipment.
