A Rainbow Of Challenges For The Rainbow Centre Scarborough

This Is The Coast Radio Station is raising money for The Rainbow Centre Scarborough

Rainbow Of Challenges

The Rainbow Centre provides support to people who are homeless, vulnerable or facing crisis. We support people through listening and advocacy work and provide access to a food bank, a hot shower and washing facilities and clothing, bedding and kitchen items.

Story

This Is The Coast's Breakfast Show Presenter Paddy In The Morning, along with his other half Nicky, are doing A Rainbow Of Challenges for The Rainbow Centre in Scarborough. To match the 7 colours of the rainbow, the pair will do 7 challenges over 7 months. The first is the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in April, with the final one being The Yorkshire Marathon in October. And also over the coming months, '10,000 ACTUAL steps in a day' will see them go up and down the McBean Steps in Scarborough over 30 times in one go! The aptly named Scarborough 7 Lakes Walk, created by the pair, is also on the agenda. One challenge will see a three-legged walk along the Cinder Track. The Lyke Wake Walk will also be tackled over the summer. Details of more challenges will be announced soon! Please, please donate even a small amount for the valuable work The Rainbow Centre do for the local community.

We aim to support the residents of Scarborough by providing food parcels, financial advice/assistance, health screenings, vaccinations, and compassionate guidance — helping individuals and families meet immediate needs and move towards greater stability.
