Story
n 1995, a desperate mother and father brought their daughter to Dr Pendsey’s doorstep. Her family was unable to afford the cost of lifesaving insulin, almost two thirds of their monthly income, and she died in his arms after a 200km journey. Deeply moved by their plight, Dr Pendsey went on to not only save but transform the lives of over 2000 young people in India without access to insulin. He touched hearts worldwide by providing not only insulin but also education, vocational programmes, and equipment to enable these children to lead their lives with ‘pride and dignity’.
He passed away after a short battle with cancer in June 2023. Saturday 18th May 2024 would have been his 70th birthday.
His life deserves to be remembered by the international community and we are asking you to help his story be heard. Please donate whatever you are able, and share your message, which will we collate and pass on to his family. All money raised will be used to continue his legacy by providing insulin and vocational activities for children with Type 1 diabetes at his clinic.
