Raise the Roof for Friends of Bolton-on-Swale St Mary’s Primary School

“Raise the Roof”
The friends of Bolton on Swale school are a small, friendly group of parents, staff, carers and grandparents. We organise and run events and fundraising activities throughout the year in order to provide additional activities for our families and their children. We believe that we are a valuable asset to the school and without our efforts the children would not be able to access some of the additional activities within school and in the wider community that we help to fund.

Story

We urgently need your help to raise £10,000 for Friends of Bolton-on-Swale St Mary’s Primary School to fix our school roof!

Our school was built in 1975 and the original roof is now 50 years old! The children will tell you - with typical honesty - that it sometimes rains in on very wet days!

The total cost of the project is £227,000 and thanks to generate support from the Department for Education and the Diocese of Leeds we have already secured funding for part of the project.

Now as a school community, we are tasked with raising the remaining £10,000. This is not just about fixing a roof; it’s about ensuring a safe and secure environment for our children to learn and grow. We believe that every child deserves a school that they can be proud of, and with your support, we can achieve this together.
