Trinity Academy Raising Horizons Fund

Funding to enable all our students to access trips, visits and extra curricular activities.

Story

At Trinity Academy, we are deeply motivated to provide life changing opportunities for all our young people, particularly to those who have shown incredible resilience at a young age, often dealing with circumstances we would not wish on anyone. We know that these kinds of opportunities are the ones we remember from our formative years, the ones that open our eyes to a bigger world and show us possibilities we had not considered or even imagined.

All our students are full of potential and keen to experience education in its widest context yet not all opportunities are open to them. We want to inspire them as we strive for equity within our community. To that end we have created the Raising Horizons Fund - a resource to allow our most disadvantaged students the opportunity to to experience something they ordinarily would never have the chance to do.

For 2024/2025, we are focusing our efforts on supporting students to go on a 16 day True Adventure trip to Nepal and a ski trip to Austria. Our aspiration is to be able to support up to six students with half the cost of each trip and work with them to find ways to meet the other half themselves. Any donation will help contribute to a memorable experience for a young person. All money donated will go directly to support an individual student. The Fund will be administered by independent staff who will look at each individual application to the fund and assure due diligence. We are happy to acknowledge individual donors or businesses in the giving of the grant or donors can remain anonymous. We will also feedback on how many students have been supported and the impact of these experiences on them.
