The Garden House Hospice is a charity which is close to RAJA UKs heart, we first were made aware of the amazing work that they do when unfortunately, one of our colleagues Andy needed end of life care. The level of compassion and support which the Garden House Hospice provided was amazing, ever since Andy's passing we have tried to contribute to the hospice through multiple charity events and in 2023 we are trying to raise even more. So far in the first half of the year we have a number of charity events set up with more to come !!! So far our key events currently organised are:

Climbing Mount Snowdon - 06.05.2023

Our first event in the calendar is the challenging feat of climbing Mount Snowdon. Our Raja UK team will consist of all departments of the business across all ability levels, the aim of this is to complete the challenge as a team whilst raising money for a great cause.

Running Stockholm Marathon - 03.06.2023

Each year the RAJA Group arranges a marathon event across Europe where all of the RAJA group are invited to join. This year RAJA UK has their largest ever team of 11 runners, of which 3 this will be their first ever marathon ! Running a marathon pushes both your body and your mind to the limits of endurance and running for a charity such as the Garden House Hospice will be a great honour.

The cost of running the hospice is over £10,000 per day !!! Therefore our target is to achieve this value within the first half of the 2023.

Some key stats about the cost of running the hospice currently are:

• £33 to keep our patients warm for a day

• £59 could pay for our Family Support Team to provide emotional support for a patient and their family members

• £81 will fund 3 hours care for a patient in the local community
