Story

Gaza needs your mercy now

£65 – Provide a month-long food parcel to a family, providing nourishing meals.

£35 – Provide 7 hot meals to 5 people facing famine in Gaza.

£45 – Provides 3 people with treatment at our medical clinic.

£60 – Provide a woman or girl with a menstrual hygiene kit.

After nearly 7 months of conflict, over 34,500 Palestinians have lost their lives, more than 77,700 are wounded and more than 10,000 are thought to be buried under rubble. Now, as the Rafah Crossing is seized, preventing aid from entering, and Palestinians sheltering in Rafah are told to evacuate, the already catastrophic situation is rapidly escalating,

As the humanitarian tragedy worsens, 1.1 million Palestinians are starving. 28 children, most of them no older than 12 months old, have died of malnutrition and one in three children under 2 years old are acutely malnourished.

100% donation

Remember to tick the Gift Aid box at the checkout. This will ensure 100% of your donation to our Gaza Fund goes directly to families in need with just a tick.

Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said: ‘Give charity without delay for it stands in the way of calamity.’

Our 1 million hot meals and 20,000 double-up food parcels are making a difference. For every £65 food parcel you donate, which makes 60 meals, our partner provides another food parcel, providing the family with 120 meals. Our mobile clinic in Rafah and hygiene kit distributions are also helping to alleviate disease and suffering in Gaza, but your mercy is needed now more than ever.

Destruction and displacement

75,000 tonnes of explosives have turned Gaza’s infrastructure to rubble, including 62% of all houses, displacing 1.7 million people – that’s 75% of the population who no longer have a place to call home.

Decimated health infrastructure

Only 11 out of Gaza’s 36 hospitals remain functioning, and the few hospitals left standing are struggling to treat patients. Disease is spreading among displaced families, and 9,000 critical patients need to be evacuated out of the Gaza Strip.

Water and waste system destroyed

Gaza was already suffering a water crisis before October 7th. Now most families have no access to safe drinking water, the wastewater network is destroyed and dehydration, hepatitis, skin diseases and diarrhoea are rife.

How your mercy is helping Gaza

Since October 7th, your mercy has supported 1,537,534 people in Gaza.

You’ve allowed us to serve 551,726 hot meals as part of our 1,000,000 hot meals appeal and provide 12,747 double-up food parcels.

Thanks to your mercy, we’ve flown 8 planes carrying 240 tons of aid into Egypt for Gaza. 210,930 people received food parcels, 24,510 people received fresh vegetable parcels and 19,660 people received clean tanks of water.

Your mercy has also provided healing and hygiene. 65,000 Palestinians have benefited from medicine supplied through Gaza hospitals and our mobile clinic in Rafah, while 96,070 people have benefited from hygiene kits.

Your support has provided 150 waterproof and fireproof family tents benefiting 1,500 people in total. 2,431 children, women and men have been provided with clothing and 1,255 have received warm blankets.

Your mercy has also ensured 30,000 received clean drinking water from our desalination plant, the largest in southern Gaza.
