Story
I am taking on the skydive to support the Pottergate Advice and Refreshment Centre (ARC), part of The Salvation Army’s work in Norwich. ARC is a safe haven for people who are homeless or vulnerably housed—a place where they can find warmth, food, showers, laundry facilities, and compassionate advice. My husband and a close friend work there, so I’ve seen first-hand how much this support means. Homelessness is close to my heart, and I want to help ARC continue giving people dignity, care, and the chance to build a healthier, happier life. This is a massive personal challenge for me because I’m absolutely petrified of heights—but that fear is nothing compared to the daily struggles faced by those who rely on ARC.
