Over the last few years, I have lost both my parents to cancer. Out of love, respect and memory of them I have decided to challenge myself, and try to raise money for the Christie Hospital, by attempting to cross Scotland by Paddleboard.

I am also doing this in support of my sister-in-law, who is undergoing cancer treatment at the Christie; I am mindful of others affected by the impact of cancer.

The route will cover about 95 km from Fort William to Inverness and will follow the Caledonian Canal, via Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and Loch Ness; it is planned to take about five days, and will involve wild camping given the remoteness of the area.
