Story
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Randall Fletcher, known to some as Andy.
Randall was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lois, and leaves behind his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many treasured friends, former colleagues and all those whose lives he touched over the years.
Randall faced a long and incredibly difficult battle with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). Throughout his illness, he endured treatment, setbacks and many uncertainties, including the devastating disappointment of being unable to receive a stem cell transplant. But, as those who knew Randall will know, he faced his illness in the way he faced so much of life — with his usual humour, a good story and a remarkable ability to make those around him smile. Even during the hardest times, there was often a tale to tell, a joke to share or a memory from the track to bring to life. His stories, his laughter and his unique character will stay with us for many years to come.
Randall was fortunate to have so much love around him throughout his journey. His family, friends and colleagues rallied around him with incredible love and support, and that meant so much. He passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a lasting impression on so many people.
We have created this page as a way for those who knew and loved Randall to remember him and celebrate his life, while supporting a cause that became so closely connected to his own experience. In place of flowers, we would be grateful for donations to Blood Cancer UK, whose work supports people affected by blood cancer and funds vital research into better treatments and, ultimately, cures.
Every donation, however large or small, would be deeply appreciated by his family and would be a meaningful way to honour his memory and help others facing their own battles with blood cancer. Thank you to everyone who has supported Randall and his family throughout this journey. Your kindness, friendship, love and laughter have meant more than words can say.
Rest peacefully, Randall. Your stories, your cheeky humour and your wonderful spirit will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know you. You will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
