I have been volunteering with The Painted Turtle for the past 20 years and it is a cause that I am passionate about. The Painted Turtle is a camp for children that have life threatening diseases and is always free of charge thanks to generous people like you. Camp has all the activities that one would expect but all are adapted so anyone can participate. I have personally helped a child in a wheel chair get hoisted to the top of the ropes course and sent down the zip line while still in their chair and even helped a person in a chair float in the pool for the first time in their life. It's pretty powerful stuff. Besides camp, we have the Outpost program where we travel to children's hospitals across the state and bring fun, games, activities and arts and crafts to the kids while they are in the hospital.
