On the 5th of May I will be running my first marathon in Copenhagen, rather than this being just a personal challenge for me I am using this event as an opportunity to raise money for the amazing and deserving Cameron’s Companions charity.

Cameron’s Companions was formed by Cameron’s family following his loss with the aim of continuing Cameron’s own mission. This is to provide an informal and easy service for young people that have been diagnosed as depressed and in need of specialist help that they may not be able to afford or have quick enough access to. They are now a registered charity and therefore qualify and can benefit from Gift Aid. Being a friend of the family, this is a cause I am honoured to raise awareness for and support.

Cameron was passionate about changing the world of men’s mental health and stopping the stigma attached to men asking for help before losing his own long battle with depression and suicidal thoughts. He fundraised to raise awareness for others and importantly to provide support and reduce the waiting time for anyone facing the same struggles.

Any and all donations are hugely appreciated and will allow this charity to grow and provide meaningful support to those in need.
