Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a very special cause.
Through personal as well as professional experiences I have encountered friends/family/colleagues/fellow humans who have struggled to cope in their day to day lives. I have had a direct insight into this being a Mental Health First Aider and so understand the amazing work the Samaritans do to listen and provide a safe space for people to be open and honest, without fear of judgement. I'm very passionate and proud to represent them for this run!
Some key stats to hit home why this cause is so important:
Every 90 minutes, someone in the UK or Ireland takes their own life. In the next hour, the Samaritans will respond to 400 calls for help. £10 is what they need to answer a call from someone struggling to cope.
If you, or someone you know, ever need their support the number to call is 116 123.
Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference!
