Story
Harrogate District Foodbank (HDF) is part of a network of more than 1,300 food bank centres in the UK providing a minimum of three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food to people who have been referred, as well as support and advice to help people maximise their incomes and lift themselves out of poverty.
HDF recognises that ending hunger is about more than food. They provide compassionate, practical support to people in crisis to tackle the root causes that lock people into poverty and build people’s resilience so they are less likely to need a food bank in the future.
