Story
In November 2022 my sons partner, Rachel at the age of only 27 was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer of the bile duct. Rachel was a fit healthy young lady and this diagnosis shocked everybody. Unfortunately in January 2023 Rachel lost her battle with this illness. Throughout this whole process, rosemere cancer foundation helped care for Rachel and they proved to be an amazing group which not only cared for Rachel with immense care, knowledge and dignity, but also they gave the same support to Joe her partner and Rachel's family which proves invaluable in what was, and still is, an impossible journey to navigate.
My journey to the start line at the London Marathon will include a half marathon every week! (Thats 26 half marathons) I will be Clocking up 640 miles in 5 months during training then the big one on Sunday 26th April 2026.
The money that Rosemere Cancer Foundation raises, with the help of people like you, supports pioneering, local clinical research projects; cutting-edge equipment; specialist training; and innovative, life-changing welfare projects for the benefit of these patients wherever they are cared for across the region, now and in the future.
