Story
Hiking in Yorkshire is just like life. Sometimes you have to take on your toughest ever challenge.
I am going to hike or walk one metre for every one of the 982,000 people with dementia in the UK before the Foresters High Court at the end of June. That's basically a marathon a week for 25 weeks.
Dementia is the UK's biggest killer, and one in three people born in the UK today will develop it in their lifetime. As the UK's leading dementia charity, Alzheimer's Society tackles all aspects of dementia by giving help and hope to people affected by dementia today and in the future.
It's only because of supporters like Forester's Friendly Society that they can continue to do that.
If you’re worried about dementia, or want more information on local services, you can contact The Alzheimer's Society through the Dementia Support Line on 0333 150 3456, or visit alzheimers.org.uk
