Eighty for 80 Alabaré Sky Dive · 1 June 2024 ·

Commemorating 80 years since the D-Day Landings in France, 80 intrepid skydivers are making the jump in tribute to those brave servicemen who landed on the Normandy Beaches 80 years ago. Raising funds for Alabaré's work with homeless veterans.

Story

My grandson Callum and I joining Alabaré and all the brave souls taking a stand against homelessness by taking to the skies in a single act of compassion to help save lives. This is not for the faint-hearted and I have to confess I am more than a little nervous, but then, I imagine eighty years ago, they were too.

I am very proud of the way Callum immediately agreed to join me in this adventure His birthday is the day before so this will be a real experience for us both

The event promises to be a powerful, reflective, and yet humbling experience. We will take a moment to reflect on why we are doing this and the sacrifices made on all sides.

You are most welcome to join me - in the skies or on the ground. It would be fabulous to have you cheer me on. Thank you for your donation.

I have known Alabare since the start by John Proctor in Wilton the charity has a special place in my heart
