Story
BRT being present in the heart of Bangladesh, tens of thousands of lives have been touched through donations and the unwavering dedication of volunteers based in the UK, working hand in hand with GUSS, an NGO on the ground committed to making a difference.
The Rohingya Health Post has become a beacon of hope, supporting the health needs of 6,000 men, women, and children. Each individual who walks through its doors carries a story of resilience and strength, yet they also face challenges that many cannot imagine.
In Bhasan Char Rohingya Island, dignity is being restored through the distribution of Girls Dignity Packs alongside an essential WASH programme. These kits not only provide necessary hygiene products but also empower young girls to maintain their dignity in difficult circumstances.
In the education sector, BRT supports the provision of education to girls in rural communities to be educated and fulfil their aspirations through the Principal Women's College in Bishwanath, Sylhet and other smaller initiatives across the country. Furthermore, the Student Investment Programme (SIP) supports highly talented, yet poor students to reach their full potential by providing economic support towards educational material and tuition fees.
Moreover, our Livelihood Duck Farming Project and sustainable livelihood initiatives has positively impacted over 100 households by providing women with seed funding and sustainable means to support their families. This initiative not only fosters economic independence but also nurtures community bonds as families come together to learn and grow.
As we embark on our journey for the "BRT CHARITY & HERITAGE TOUR 2026", we invite you to join us in this mission. Our target is to raise £1,000 to continue these vital programs that uplift and empower those in need. Your support can help us reach more beneficiaries and create lasting change in their lives.
