Walking for Action Cancer – In Memory of Loved Ones
Nancy and Raymond Corbett have decided to take on a challenge close to their hearts by carrying out a sponsored walk in aid of Lisburn Mayor Amanda Grehan’s chosen charity, Action Cancer.
Like so many families, Nancy has felt the devastating impact of cancer, having lost both her sister and brother, Raymond has also lost his father and many friends to this terrible disease. Inspired to make a difference, we want to raise as much as possible to help Action Cancer continue its vital work supporting those affected and funding life-saving services.
In the early hours of 1st January 2026, we will set off on our sponsored walk over Divis Mountain and Black Mountain. It may not sound like a marathon, but for two 70-year-olds it’s more than far enough – and we are determined to complete it!
We are asking for donations, big or small, to support this worthy cause. Every pound will make a real difference and will encourage us to keep going and every step we take on that cold January morning will be in memory of those we have lost and in hope for those still fighting.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity – together we can help fight back against cancer.
From the bottom of our hearts – thank you.
Nancy & Raymond ❤️
