Story
Raymond came to us back in June this year. He’d been found by the side of the road, frightened, alone, and in pain. A kind person brought him to a local vet, where it was discovered he’d likely been hit by a car. X-rays showed a fractured pelvis, and though the vets searched for an owner, Raymond didn’t have a microchip, no one came forward for him. It was clear this gentle boy needed somewhere safe to heal and someone to fight for him. That’s when Raymond came to us.
Shortly after arriving, Raymond was referred to a specialist vet in the hope of saving both his back legs. His right side, thankfully, was able to heal on its own, but the left side was very badly damaged.
His right leg healed beautifully, but heartbreakingly, his left leg had suffered too much nerve damage. The kindest and most compassionate choice was to remove the leg so he could finally live a pain-free life.
Today, we’re overjoyed to share that Raymond has found his forever home, a family who loves him for the brave, gentle soul he is. He’s enjoying exploring his new home and soaking up affection, proving that nothing can dim his spirit.
But while Raymond’s story has a happy ending, his journey came with big medical costs, from his surgery to his care and rehabilitation. We’re now hoping to recover some of those expenses so we can keep helping cats like Raymond who arrive scared, broken, and in desperate need of a chance.
Even though Raymond is safe now, your support still matters deeply. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us say “yes” to the next cat who needs us, the next Raymond waiting by the roadside for someone to care.
If Raymond’s story has touched your heart, please consider donating today. You won’t just be helping one cat, you’ll be helping to change the next life, too.
