Challenge 2026 - Abseil!!! - On Saturday 20th June 2026 🩵

I'll be participating alongside my colleagues from the X-Ray Department at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital to raise funds for our department & support staff wellbeing.

Working in Radiology has shown me that every day brings new challenges, whether for staff or patients. Every person we see is fighting their own battle and for the patients that often means facing some of their hardest moments of their lives. Behind every scan is someone waiting for answers, dealing with uncertainty, fear, or pain. And behind every scan is also a radiographer doing their very best to provide care, support & ensure every patient feels safe & comfortable.

As a department, we always aim to provide the best possible care & environment for both patients and staff. I truly believe that no matter what comes our way, we face it together & overcome it the best way we can. For me, Radiology has been a truly valuable experience full of learning and growth.

So once again, I would like to contribute towards another challenge. We as a Radiology colleagues hope to raise money to help make our department more welcoming, comfortable & positive. Something that can have a real impact on everyone who walks through our doors. Not only for our patients & their families, but also for our radiographers, who truly are one of a kind individuals.

A little really does go a long way, your input will help us achieve the vision we have for our department.
