I have rediscovered a passion for running over the last couple of years and my young family has now grown to an age where my oldest child (Darcie) takes an interest in my running and looks forward to hearing about how far I have gone and how it went. I want to do something to make her and her brother Patrick proud of Daddy and to show my amazing wife Libby that at 38, I’m far from past my best!

Breast Cancer, like far too many others, has directly affected our family in recent years. Tragically my twin sister lost her battle with breast cancer in late 2020; an event that has left a permanent scar on us all. Hannah’s passing is a big reason for my passion to run, she passed away age 33 feeling that she never got to do many of the things she dreamt of. The simplest of these ambitions was to just be a mum.

I’ve decided to raise money for the amazing charity Breast Cancer Now because I want to do whatever I can to improve the life of anyone like my sister - who deserved none of the pain she went through. The charity provides wonderful support for an enormous number of cancer patients and their families and I’m extremely proud to be part of their London Marathon 2026 team.

I have never felt more committed to achieve good things and to make lasting memories for my family. Completing the London Marathon in memory of Hannah would fill my parents hearts with so much pride - it’s just something I need to do.
