In 2022 my partner, Rea spent 3 months in Homerton Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit after being in intensive care for 3 months with Guillain-Barré syndrome. She suffered from complete body Paralysis and has had to learn to walk and move her body again. With the help of the Physio team at RNRU Rea took her first steps. She continues to make great progress.

Headway is a charity that provides social and cognitive rehabilitation for adults with brain injury and support and respite for their families. They individually tailor programmes that are designed to maximise quality of life, independence and self-esteem.

Headway supports Homerton RNRU and in April I will be running the Brighton Marathon to raise money to help Headway carry on doing the much needed work they do. We will be forever grateful for their work.
