Story
On the 26th April 2026, I will be running the London Marathon in support of H&F Giving, a charity close to my heart.
H&F Giving works to support people and communities facing disadvantage, helping direct funding to where it is needed most. I strongly believe in fairness, opportunity, and taking care of those who are less advantaged, and this charity’s mission aligns closely with my personal values.
My connection is personal as my Grandfather has been involved with supporting H&F Giving for many years, and seeing his hard work has been a huge inspiration throughout my life. This felt like a meaningful way to support a grassroots charity with immediately visible impacts on peoples lives.
Running the London Marathon in 2026 came out of the blue and I was honoured to have been offered a place by H&F Giving. Having been born and raised in the capital running the London Marathon has been a dream of mine since I was a little boy, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! However, this is my first ever marathon. Having previously completed the Edinburgh Half I have an idea of the kind of training required.
I don’t often post on social media, and I’ve never fundraised in this way before. Taking on this challenge is as much about pushing myself outside my comfort zone as it is about the physical distance. For me, this marathon represents gratitude, determination, and the chance to turn a personal challenge into tangible support for others.
Fundraising Target:
- £2,500 by 21st June 2026
Every single donation, no matter the size, helps H&F Giving continue its vital work supporting those in need. I will share updates on training and fundraising along the way. I am always incredibly grateful for any support whatever the form whether that is a donation, joining me for a run, or simply following along.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting both me and this fantastic cause.
