Christmas Jumper Day · 20 December 2023

Reading Refugee Support Group helps refugees and asylum seekers to rebuild their lives in Berkshire. We help people who have escaped war, violence and persecution by providing a safe space, legal advice, practical support and social activities to help them get back on their feet.

Story

As we welcome the festive season, we are delighted to announce the upcoming Christmas Jumper Day scheduled for Wednesday 20th December 2023. This event not only adds a festive touch to our school but also extends a helping hand to those in need.

In the spirit of giving, we kindly request a minimum donation of £2 from each participating student. All proceeds from this event will be directed towards Refugee Support Group, which has been helping refugees and asylum seekers in Berkshire to rebuild their lives with advice, education and support for over 25 years.

Christmas Jumper Day not only adds a joyous touch to our school atmosphere but also provides an excellent opportunity for our students to engage in a meaningful act of kindness during this holiday season. We encourage you to join us in supporting this worthy cause and making a positive impact on the lives of those less fortunate.

Please include your son’s FULL name and FORM group in the notes section when submitting a donation, so we can verify donations against students participating.

Unfortunately, we CANNOT accept any cash payments on the day.

Thank you for your continued support in fostering a sense of community and compassion within Reading School.
