Story
I am fundraising for Rape Crisis England & Wales to stand in solidarity with victims and survivors of sexual violence. 1 in 5 women have been raped or sexually assaulted as an adult, and 45% of survivors seeking support are unable to access it.
This is a cause very close to my heart, and I strongly hope to help provide aid and support to anyone who has experienced sexual violence in any way. I want support to become more widely accessible, and spread awareness for those who need it. Too many people suffer in silence, without access to the help they deserve.
I am therefore working with the Methodist chapel in Welton and hosting a jumble sale on Saturday the 13th of September, from 10am-11:30am, alongside their coffee morning where the proceeds will also go to this charity. Any donations are greatly appreciated, whether you are able to make it to the event or not. Thank you for your support, and for standing alongside the cause.
Rape Crisis England & Wales:
- Raises awareness of the prevalence and impact of sexual violence and abuse in all its forms.
- Advocates for systems change to create better responses in justice, health, education and across society
- Ensure that specialist support is available
