Sponsored Silence · 17 March 2024

JMECA is a UK Charity which seeks to show God’s love by supporting the charitable work of the Episcopal Provinces in the Middle East; the Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East, and the Province of Alexandria. We provide financial support for the churches, clergy and the social ministries the dioceses run for the local communities. Through our website and magazine we aim to inform people of the context of their work and encourage prayerful support.

Story

As part of a lent appeal, Amber is going to carry out a sponsored silence on Sunday 17 March to rise funds for JMECA, The Jerusalem and the Middle East Church Association. As part of their lent appeal, JMECA are raising funds for their work in Gaza. JMECA manage the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza City, which is currently the only functioning hospital in northern Gaza, but has been badly damaged. The 80 bed hospital at the beginning of February had 150 patients, and staff are treating the injured in makeshift areas. We are hoping to raise a little money to support their work, so any donations would be greatly appreciated and go a long way to help!
