Story
On 3rd May, I'm jumping from a plane at 14000 feet! I'll be skydiving with my friend, Dan.
Dan has a degenerative neurological condition called Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA).
Having had a normal childhood and first half of his teenage years, Dan started developing neurological symptoms in his mid-teens. After years of tests, all while his symptoms were worsening, at 19, Dan was diagnosed with FA. By 25, Dan had to start using a wheelchair.
Currently, there’s no cure for FA, and the first-ever, newly developed treatment isn’t available in the UK. Ataxia UK is working tirelessly to help change that.
