London Marathon 2025 for Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
In April 2025 I will be running the London marathon for all the people supported by the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity.
Through this amazing challenge, they will give hope to parents and children who often come to the charity feeling lost, and help to boost the self esteem and confidence of someone who has felt alone and misunderstood.
This charity means so much to me, as my son George was diagnosed with Dyslexia at the age of 7. School is a daily challenge for George, with reading, writing and spelling sometimes being overwhelmingly frustrating for him.
Despite these challenges George shows true grit and determination and continues to show up and do his best every day.
When he was diagnosed it was amazing charities such as Helen Arkell, that helped and guided us through the process of what it would mean for George and his school journey.
Without such wonderful charities like this parents and children can feel overwhelmed and lost in a system that is not built for them, feeling like they are fighting an up hill battle alone. Which sadly is often the case for so many.
I have to advocate for George so often, as there are simply not enough resources and without these charities those children that don't have quite the same support would become even further lost in a school system that is stretched to breaking point.
George shows me daily, how to be resilient, determined and courageous whilst always being his kind, gentle self. He has inspired me to train and run the marathon this year and I hope you will support me and this amazing charity to help many more George's in the years to come.
