Story
I am taking part in 2 charity events for The Bowel Movement this year!
The first will be The Lake District Challenge on 2nd August. The Challenge is the Fairfield Horseshoe, where we'll hike over 10 miles and 1000m of ascent, featuring 8 Wainwright summits in a horseshoe-shaped circuit around the Rydal Beck valley.
The second will be a 100km trek, over 5 days across the Moroccan Sahara starting on 30th November.
I was fortunate enough to win this trek with Charity Challenge through their Winter Giveaway. In 2022, I had the incredible opportunity to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro with them, and it was an experience I’ll never forget.
I’ve decided to raise funds for my favourite charity, The Bowel Movement. This is a family run charity, founded in memory of their much loved son and brother, Benj. You can read more about their story here:

Each year, over 2,600 young people, like me and Benj, are diagnosed with bowel cancer. It’s the fourth most common cancer in the UK and one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths. Early detection and diagnosis are crucial, as bowel cancer is highly treatable and even curable if caught early.
The Bowel Movement is dedicated to raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of bowel and colorectal cancers, ensuring that everyone has the best chance of survival. They also provide a much needed hardship fund to support those facing financial challenges due to their diagnosis.
When you donate to this charity, you can be confident that every single penny is being used to raise awareness and offer essential support to those that need it!
