Story

This is a long one….

I am running Manchester Half Marathon in October for the charity Women’s Heartbeat. For those that don’t know my mum had a heart attack 2024. Thankfully she is one strong queen and is doing amazing! ❤️ I believe women’s heart health isn’t spoken about enough! 35,000 women in the uk are admitted to hospital every year with a heart attack. Coronary heart disease kills more than twice as many women as breast cancer. Over 3.6 million women are living with heart disease in the UK, which claims one in 14 female lives.

Women are 50% more likely to receive an incorrect initial diagnosis. You really don’t think it will be you, or someone you know - your mum, your daughter, your sister or your aunt. I’m so lucky and SO thankful that my mum wasn’t one of those statistics above ❤️ Women’s Heartbeat aims to promote awareness of the different types of heart problems and the symptoms (which can differ from those in men). By doing so they hope to improve those statistics ❤️

Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your kindness and support.
